default CREATING ONE PAGE FOR ALL COMMENTS PER POST

Post  LIVES on Wed Apr 09, 2008 10:44 pm

HELLO, we have many comments per post and navigating the pages to read all of the posts is difficult. Can we get all of the commetns per post on one long page? We have tried to increase the number of comments per page to 50-100 but that function does not seem to work. Thank you. LIVES.

Hitesh,

I thought I did that, but I'll try again. Thanks.

Hitesh,

those instructions were for increasing the number of comments in the module for "last comments." I want to include all posted comments for one blog on one page. Can we do that? Thanks.

Sorry Hitesh, but I am not sure that I understand your response to this question.

I do understand that the answer is "no." I do not understand what you mean by "personal suggestion" so it is hard for me to respond to you on that point. However, I can say if your reference was to my request to a style change I will state that not only is it a personal preference but it it the personal preference of a group of people to have that choice. The success of that preference has been evidenced already on WOrdpress and other blogs. Being able to read on RSS does not satisfy that preference.

The poitn is to enhance the readers experience by reducing the number of clicks necessary to navigate and participate in the blog. Many people prefer not to have to click and scroll page after page to get to the most recent comment, then respond, then be forced to click back on to the last page to re-read one's comment.

So if you meant that my comment was personal to me and probably not for general public, as an administrator for a high traffic blog, I disagree and suggest that sosblog look into that option. Thank you.
